How to Deal With Divorce Without Failing at Work - The Muse

Instructions to Deal With Divorce Without Failing at Work - The Muse Instructions to Deal With Divorce Without Failing at Work Before the current year's over, I'll be separated. I didn't anticipate it, I didn't need it, and I sure wasn't set up to manage it. As an entrepreneur, I realized I expected to keep it together grinding away yet I truly battled. I was unable to eat or drink, nor would I be able to concentrate on reaching customers or completing undertakings. At long last, I missed around two months of work, I'm despite everything attempting to compensate for it today. Separation is hard, regardless of whether you're anticipating it or not. Furthermore, keeping up an elevated level of work execution through the long and frequently pulverizing process is much progressively troublesome. Be that as it may, it doesn't need to be a tough trudge the whole time. There are steps you can take to assist yourself with traversing an extreme individual time without your expert life self-destructing. This guide can help. Take a Few Vacation days At the point when you're originally defied with the truth of an approaching separation, regardless of whether it was you or your accomplice who started the split, the injury can be hard to deal with. Erica EB Baumer, co-proprietor of Sage Career and Life Consultants, proposes promptly utilizing some excursion days to pull together. This is a lamenting procedure, Baumer says. On the off chance that you have some get-away time, don't be hesitant to deliberately utilize it. I wouldn't take a month off. Simply take a couple of vacation days to a great extent to get grounded. You have to traverse the underlying not many days and grapple with what's going on. You'll have the opportunity to sit and consider the thousand inquiries you'll be posing to yourself, without impedance from calls or messages. Cause those days about you-to feel all the feelings you have to feel, and afterward discover approaches to self-relieve. In the event that you ordinarily work out, attempt to get to the rec center. Go for short strolls outside. Attempt yoga. Tune in to music that causes you to feel great. Attempt to keep away from low quality nourishment. In the event that you can't take whenever off, attempt to work remotely. At the point when you return to the workplace, you'll have considerably more mental soundness to center and remain at a superior level. Separations do will in general delay, however, so watch out for yourself all through the procedure on the off chance that you discover you're out of nowhere battling and incapable to center or thoroughly consider your every day ventures, it may be an ideal opportunity to fly in an excursion day. Simply monitor how much time off you have left and make certain to spare a day for your genuine court date, also. They're continually during the week. Concentrate on Work, on the off chance that You Can When the underlying residue has settled, head again into the workplace and attempt to concentrate on (or divert yourself with) your work. For Jason Roe, a mechanization pro who separated from when he was 29, that implied reaffirming that his activity was his and his alone. I drove myself to recollect that she can remove the relationship, she can take things from our mutual belongings, however what she can't take from me is my vocation, Roe said. Your activity might be the main thing you have an inclination that you have full command over during a wild time. It's a barely recognizable difference, however; plunging into work can destroy you more than you as of now are from the separation. Make a point to work in self-care (see underneath)- else you could wear out and set yourself much further behind. Obviously, a few people simply aren't simply the toss into-work type. In that circumstance, what in the long run worked for me was attempting to think about my activity as an arrival to regularity. It's a method to feel, at any rate briefly, such as nothing has changed. Recall that in your profession, individuals are relying on you. Concentrating on that may advise you that, despite the fact that you're likely inclination undesirable, you're despite everything required. Dan Blair, a family specialist and the proprietor of Blair Counseling and Mediation, proposes taking brief breaks for the duration of the day also. Take a stab at setting a daily schedule, such as laboring for 20 minutes at that point taking five to refocus. Utilize the break time to discharge any feelings you might be feeling, regardless of whether that implies covering up in a restroom slow down for a couple of moments. At that point head back to your work area and return to work. Converse with Your Boss Blair takes note of that it's essential to converse with your chief and maybe an associate about what's occurred, so somebody at the workplace knows your presentation may endure a piece and can assist you with remaining responsible. On the off chance that your director can be trusted, told the person in question, he says. It doesn't need to be a drawn-out discussion. To begin with, Baumer says, ensure you do it in person-composed things can be shared, and you won't need that. At that point strip the circumstance of the considerable number of subtleties. It's as basic as booking a brisk gathering and telling your manager that you're experiencing a separation. Tell them you may require a break for court dates and gatherings with legal advisors, and come into the discussion with proposals for how you'll make up any work you miss on those days. You can likewise inquire as to whether they are aware of any assets you may have the option to use, for example, an Employee Assistance Program. Baumer takes note of that your manager can go about as a touchpoint to ensure you're doing OK and to inform you as to whether your work is languishing. To abstain from getting to that point, however, take a stab at planning a gathering each couple of weeks to check in. (You can utilize this email layout to approach your manager for customary one-on-ones.) Practice Self-Care Baumer and Blair both alert that profound feelings like those associated with a separation set aside a long effort to work through, and you'll keep on feeling rushes of torment for a long time. In troublesome minutes at work, take a stab at taking a stroll to get a difference in landscape, or concentrating on your relaxing. You could even have a go at keeping a positive statement or a thing with a positive passionate association around your work area. Furthermore, in spite of the fact that it might appear to be difficult to look past the day you're attempting to overcome, it's essential to consider the long haul. Baumer and Blair both propose making a routine of self-care for yourself. Plan out your timetable a month ahead of time. For instance, on Mondays and Wednesdays before work, you'll go to the rec center and work out, and on Friday nighttimes, you'll scrub down. Work in some structure to join things that cause you to feel great somehow or another, and make a decent attempt as conceivable to adhere to it. That musicality will assist you with getting back in the correct mentality for work; it gets normal, and you'll have a more clear head since you've been dealing with your psyche and body. Roll out a Bigger Improvement Your separation may even push you toward another path expertly. Blair, for instance, was sucker punched by his separation. In any case, when he moved beyond the underlying stun, he multiplied down on his guiding vocation and diverted his feelings into another plot for his business-forestalling and intervening separations. The horrible experience at last helped him center around work in another manner and utilize his experience to help other people. Sincerely trying occasions can hugy affect your life. Yet, they don't have to definitely influence your work execution at the time, or your vocation over the long haul. Furthermore, once in a while separation can even lastingly affect your vocation positively whether it prompts a superior relationship with your chief, an advancement since you endeavored to occupy yourself, or even a greater change that encourages you gain dependability or seek after another intrigue.

Also, handfuls more depict a culture of maltreatment at the media company, as per late announcing by Ronan Farrow for The New Yorker.Ronan's eight-month-long examination for The New Yorker uncovers stunning and upsetting insights regarding Moonves and CBS. It's a turning point. I believe it's significant that an organization's way of life won't take into account this. Furthermore, that is what's extensive. There's a great deal we're learning. There's a great deal we didn't have a clue, Moonves said in November.2. Synthetic Ice Gets Closer to the Real Thing

Manufactured Ice Gets Closer to the Real Thing Manufactured Ice Gets Closer to the Real Thing Manufactured Ice Gets Closer to the Real Thing Hockey players, olympic skaters, and startled apprentices embracing the divider as they go all around know the difficulties that accompany skating on ice. For a certain something, its virus. In the event that you need to do it outside, youre limited to freezing climate. For skating arena administrators, theres the issue of vitality costs. Keeping water in its strong state adds up to the biggest bill for arena proprietors, and keeping in mind that a Zamboni at work is a delight to observe, ice doesnt remain smooth without it. Every one of these drawbacks vanish when ice is supplanted with plastic. The principal plastic engineered arenas, which hit the skate scene during the 1970s, were to some degree superior to skating on concrete. In any case, they must be covered with greases to be dangerous and radiated a ton of shavings as skate cutting edges cut across them. Presently, utilizing further developed materials and methods, organizations like Glice are making manufactured ice that is more similar to the genuine stuff than any time in recent memory. Glice fellow benefactor Toni Vera, a hockey player and architect, skated on an early form of engineered ice in Canada, years prior. He returned from that outing and he couldnt get it off his psyche, said Viktor Meier, the companys CEO and prime supporter. For You: Cockroaches Inspire Tiny Robots that Fly, Walk, Swim, Dive This first outside ice arena in Brazil is made with earth well disposed engineered ice. Picture: Glice Indeed, it remained at the forefront of his thoughts for a long time. During that time, Vera explored different avenues regarding self-greasing up polymers, to locate the correct fixings to best surmised genuine ice. On conventional arenas, skates dissolve the ice as they slide over it, basically making a slight track of water. With Glice, skates discharge oils in the polymer. The specific equation stays restrictive, yet the polymers that make up Glice, which fall among high and ultra-high thickness, are made with silicone and different added substances. To best imitate the experience of skating on the genuine article, Glice engineers needed to accomplish something beyond focus on frosts coefficient of rubbing. Rather, they over and over had skaters try out various renditions. At long last, the sensation is consistently emotional, Meier said. There are diverse complex factors that cooperate; perhaps on the off chance that you get one number moving up, another goes down. You can just get it by feeling it. Vera and Meier likewise surrendered the infusion forming utilized by other plastic ice makers and changed to squeezing. A long press time with high warmth makes a higher thickness, which diminishes shavings. It likewise implies that, beside smaller scale scratches, the surface remains smooth for the span of its 13 to 15 years of life. After that you can flip it over and have a pristine arena, said Meier. Proficient hockey players and professional skaters bear witness to Glices closeness to the genuine article. I made it my objective to by and by skate on each item I could and discover the distinctions in every item, said Dan Fritsche, when a player for the Columbus Blue Jackets, the New York Rangers, and the Minnesota Wild, who is currently Glices national chief for the U.S. I ended up having more float, simpler and more honed turns, and an overall preferable encounter over some other item, no doubt. Genuine ice may seemingly remain ruler, however just when its at its freshest state, particularly directly after a Zamboni ignores it. Following fifteen minutes, genuine ice is damaged yet Glice remains the equivalent. Toni Vera, Glice fellow benefactor In the initial ten minutes, that new surface is better, Meier said. Following fifteen minutes genuine ice is damaged, yet Glice remains the equivalent. Be that as it may, the organization is still in rivalry with genuine ice, and they plan to in the end coordinate the presentation of ice at its cleanest and freshest. They are likewise taking a shot at making their item self-mending and soil catapulting. In the six years of its reality, Glice has conveyed ice to in excess of 80 nations. Presently outside skating is accessible in moderate atmospheres like Israel, Peru, Iran, and Dubai, among numerous others. Michael Abrams is an autonomous author. 3 Good Reasons To Spend More Time On Your Cover Letter - Work It Daily

3 Good Reasons To Spend More Time On Your Cover Letter - Work It Daily Tip #1: Show, Don't Tell We've all, here and there, committed the error of not giving our introductory letters the consideration they merit. A few of us will in general spew the data in our resume onto the introductory letter. While it's alright - and once in a while even vital - to incorporate a portion of the things recorded on your resume in your introductory letter, making a duplicate of your resume with some additional cushion words won't go anyplace. Related: #1 Thing You MUST Say In Your Cover Letter Here are a few reasons why you have to invest more energy in your introductory letter: Composing A Generic Cover Letter Will Label You As A Generic Employee Not investing enough energy in your introductory letter can prompt an exceptionally nonexclusive one - and the exact opposite thing you need to put on a show of being is conventional. As indicated by vocation essayist and blogger, Alison Green, it's essential to edit your introductory letter, regardless of whether you think it is consummately made. Chances are your introductory letter may have some regular expressions like: I'm dedicated and an incredible communicator, Dear sir or madam, or even I meet the prerequisites for the position. Tip #1: Show, Don't Tell Probably the greatest exercise I took from my experimental writing courses at my undergrad school is to appear, not tell. A business would be significantly increasingly intrigued on the off chance that you give them how you're a diligent employee rather than just letting them know. Possibly you've shuffled a few occupations and school work previously. You meet the necessities for the position? In what manner or capacity? Posting the pertinent abilities you have may be a superior method to convey your capabilities. As yet guiding your letter to a sir or a madam? Show the business you care by making a special effort to discover the name of the employing supervisor at the organization. Whatever conventional expressions you appear to be battling with, a business won't have the foggiest idea about these things about you on the off chance that you don't show them in your introductory letter. Modifying Your Cover Letter Is A Way Of Customizing Yourself One reason work searchers will in general compose ineffective introductory letters is on the grounds that they don't set aside the effort to redo them. In case you're not going to set aside the additional effort to create a painstakingly composed introductory letter, what makes you think a business is going to set aside the effort to peruse your nonexclusive letter? Tip #2: Find The Right Keywords Morris Associates, Inc, a profession and work site, recommends printing out the set of working responsibilities and featuring watchwords, investing additional energy in the featured words and contemplating how you can relate them to your aptitudes, and creating the main sentence around the substance of what they need. Doing this will separate you from different candidates and increment the odds a business will call you in for a meeting. You're Not The Only Job Applicant Out There As indicated by profession and individual marking specialist and creator, Jessica Holbrook Hernandez, on a week after week premise, any recruiting administrator presumably gets... several resumes and introductory letters. So, it's imperative to get the peruser's consideration from the earliest starting point. Tip #3: Have Them At Hello Utilizing early on sentences like: It would be ideal if you acknowledge my resume for thought of the (XYZ) position inside your association, is anything but a decent method to stand out enough to be noticed, Hernandez composes. It's critical to take note of that your introductory letter is the business' early introduction of you, and nothing is a higher priority than the underlying early introduction. Invest more energy in your introductory letter and ensure you don't seem like every other person. It is anything but an exercise in futility in the event that it can possibly get you that meet. Ep 127 - The Future of Work Machine Learning and Ability-Based Design - Workology

Ep 127 - The Future of Work Machine Learning and Ability-Based Design - Workology The Accessible Employee Experience Welcome to a new series on the Workology Podcast we are kicking off that focuses on the future of work. This series is in collaboration with the  Partnership on Employment Accessible Technology  or PEAT. Everywhere I turn there seem to be conversations in the human resources and recruiting  industry centered around artificial intelligence. It is truly permeating our landscape and,  myself, along with PEAT found some pretty amazing things that researchers are doing in the fields of accessibility and technology. One of those emerging technology fields is in the area of touchscreen technology allowing those with motor impairments to be able to use and access technology. Episode 127:  The Future of Work: Machine Learning and Ability-Based Design with Martez Mott (@martez_mott) My Workology Podcast guest today is Martez Mott. He is a sixth-year PH.D. candidate in the Information School at the University of Washington where he is a member of the Mobile + Accessible Design Lab. His focus is “designing touch interaction techniques for people with motor impairments and also for people under the effects of situational impairments.” In the HR and recruiting space, we tend to think about machine learning in terms of smart SAaS software, but not necessarily in terms of machine learning thats focused on improving or enhancing the employee experience beyond smart software. We dont always think of machine learning as providing a way to improve accessibility for employees and persons with disabilities. His research is laying the foundation for more employees to have access to the right tools and technology to do their jobs. This research focuses on touch technology specifically for individuals with motor impairments including those with cerebral palsy. The Accessible Employee Experience Martez explains how mobile technology can help individuals with motor impairments be able to communicate. At present, he says that doing basic tasks like sending an email or using a computer are  challenging. In this fast-paced world we live in where technology is so important to our personal and well as professional lives, Martez opens my eyes and hopefully yours to how motor touch technology can help make the workplace better for employees with motor impairments. Imagine not being able to type on your keyboard or even punch in a phone number with your mobile device. The machine learning work that Martez is doing will allow employes and consumers to be able to customize their touch on mobile devices, touch screens,  and tablets being able to recognize, understand, and predict their movements allowing them to do everyday things we might take for granted like answering text messages, using a mobile app, or responding to an email. The Future of Machine Learning and Accessibility All Employees Martez says that machine learning requires a lot of data points to be accurate and increase predictability. His work in touch interaction requires a lot of data. These touch behaviors are unique to the individual and even can change when you the individual takes your medication. These nuances and changes in touch are small but are critical in making the technology work for all.   The work that Martez is doing is truly fascinating. It really opened my eyes to how touch technology can have a big impact when it comes to providing opportunities for meaningful work to everyone. Im excited to see where this research goes and the future of accessible technology in the workplace. Connect with Martez Mott by clicking here. 7 Ways to Scare off a Recruiter

The window of 5-7 seconds is a limited one, particularly considering a potential boss just designates that measure of time to many resumes a day. The following are seven regular approaches to scare a selection representative; keep away from them to expand the odds of that 'tight exploring window' opening up somewhat more extensive for you. 1. Messy resumes At number one, syntactic blunders, grammatical errors and incorrect spellings are the most widely recognized and, frequently, most expensive mix-ups. Hundreds or even a large number of individuals can go after one job. For what reason would an enrollment specialist burn through their time with a candidate who spells acheive for accomplish or excede for surpass? Evident mistakes tell potential businesses the candidate didn't set aside the effort to survey and rehash their resume before accommodation and linguistic blunders, particularly for correspondences positions, show managers whether a candidate is a solid match. Utilizing a colon instead of semicolon, discarding essential commas and setting the period outside of quotes - these are generally approaches to drive away enrollment specialists. The most undermining mistake? Incorrect spelling an organization's name. On the off chance that a candidate can't make a point to spell the name of the organization that the individual is apply ing to accurately, that individual will promptly have their resume tossed out. 2. Amateurish email address Representatives speak to the organizations they work for; they help keep up and mirror an organization's image. Enrollment specialists see potential contender to see who will best fit into the way of life of the organization. An amateurish email sends a warning to managers. They need to enlist develop grown-ups, ones who comprehend the significance of making an expert email address. In the event that you aren't sure whether your email is proficient, step through this examination: Imagine a selection representative just called you about an employment opportunity. The individual in question requests that you give an email address to advance the data to. State your email address resoundingly, similarly as you would via telephone, and perceive how it sounds. 3. Habitation A few organizations attempt to abstain from employing out-of-state candidates. Movement and the costs that accompany it are not generally things an organization needs to manage with welcoming on another person. See whether a business is looking for nearby applicants possibly before applying in such a case that that is the situation, the individual won't consider an out-of-state continue. 4. Absence of detail in work history It's actual you would prefer not to swarm your resume with long sentences, however not giving enough detail is likewise hazardous. Essentially posting past positions isn't sufficient. Scouts need to know the capacities and obligations did while you worked at an organization. Absence of detail makes them question how huge your past jobs were. 5. No information on industry applying for Resumes that reflect work history that has nothing to do with the business of position you're applying for are additionally warnings. Except if it's a no experience vital position, most occupation postings show some sort of necessities and additionally capabilities for candidates, and candidates should regularly have some kind of foundation in the field of the vacant position. 6. Absence of expert references Having no references can regularly be a major issue for selection representatives. Managers esteem input from the individuals who can bear witness to a candidate's hard working attitude and abilities. On the off chance that at least two of an individual's references are close to home - relatives or companions - this can likewise hurt a person's odds of their resume getting further consideration. Such a large number of individual references tell bosses a candidate needs more expert references, and this leads them to ask why? Do they not genuinely have the work experience they guarantee to? Was their work inadequately done? Did they leave on terrible footing? You don't need your resume to leave enrollment specialists incredulous or confounded. 7. Secondary school exercises This relates to undergrads (since I'm trusting nobody out of school would do this). When looking for entry level positions or customary business, a rundown of secondary school exercises blasts an admonition to enrollment specialists. Like individual references, the candidate needs more present or university experience so the individual returned to secondary school. Except if you're a first year recruit understudy, this is a major no.Master the specialty of shutting arrangements and making situations. Take our Recruiter Certification Program today. A productive job search desk area is one that has what you need to find a job fast.eval 3 Surprisingly Important Office Tools For Job Search Success 1) Filing system Job searching over the Internet, you might never have any paperwork worth filing, but there are still cases where you can't avoid it: Diplomas Applications Certifications Offline media mentions Hardcopy samples from your work portfolio (for security reasons, employers may not let you keep digital versions) Anything with someone else's signature, such as reference letters Depending on how big this pile is and how often you add to it, you may want a file cabinet with folders by subject and date.eval Otherwise, a simple accordion folder should be ok and small enough to carry when you need it. 2) Writing utensils stationery Regardless of whether your job search involves piles of documents, you will still need writing utensils. Letter writing can be a critical part of a successful job search. If you can write LinkedIn recommendations, you can write recommendation letters for others, and should. (For maximum effect, do it without waiting to be asked.) Just as important is to make yourself memorable by sending thank you letters, especially after job interviews. And there's nothing more professional than to send a handwritten letter on your own stationery, including your personal logo or other personal branding elements. 3) Business card organizer You will collect business cards on your job search. And you should. Your collection will grow from the job interviewers you see, from the networking events you visit, from the random meetings with people who might be able to help you or you them. Most people will simply put the received cards in a box or in a desk drawer, never to be looked at again. But if the cards were organized in a useful manner, you would look at them again. While mini business card-sized file cabinets get the job done while looking cool on your desk, I prefer a business card binder that you can browse through and add pocket pages as needed. Just be careful to sort the cards according to how you will search through them in times of need: by profession, by industry or just alphabetically. 3 Tips for a Happy and Healthy Marriage

3 Tips for a Happy and Healthy Marriage Fairy tales often end with ‘and then they lived happily ever after’. The story is in the pursuit and the courtship. But what happens after that? ‘Ever after’ is a long time. What if the prince forgets to put his socks in the hamper each night? Or the princess always left the top off the toothpaste? What then? Marriage is difficult. Yes, it is beautiful and magical and romantic. But it is also hard work. Things go wrong, and people grow and change. Sometimes differences are irrevocable. In those situations, the dream marriage is guided to a practical conclusion by divorce attorneys. This is not something we plan for when we walk down the aisle but, sadly, it is a fact of life. What can we do to ensure that our marriage remains a happy and healthy one? Listen This sounds easy, but it’s not as straightforward as you think. You know the scenario where you’ve had a long, frustrating day at work. You’re tired, and all you want to do is sit back and watch something ‘easy’ on the TV. But your partner is talking and talking and talking. You’re only half listening because you’re putting the groceries away and trying to put the dinner on. This is natural. Of course, there will be times when you’re tired and distracted. But try not to make it the norm. If you’re frequently distracted and not engaged, then this could cause problems. Try to make a time when you and your partner can talk uninterrupted. Go out for a drink. Talk over coffee. You could have a standing date where you sit in your favorite coffee shop or deli and chat about the week and what’s going on in your lives. Listen to what your partner has to say. Don’t Try to Change Each Other You married your partner for a reason. You feel in love with them for a reason. So why would you want to change them? We all have habits that annoy other people. The frustration and annoyance can escalate a little when you’re living with someone. Try not to let those things mount up and take over. If there are things your partner is doing that is driving you nuts then talk to them about it. Perhaps start with, “Is there anything that I do to annoy you?” Discuss those things and laugh about them. You could make a pact for each of you to make a small change. You need to pick your fight with this one. Nagging at someone over every little thing they do will get you nowhere. Learn to let things go. Also, read our article on how to spot there’s a problem in your marriage. Keep it Interesting Sometimes everyday life takes over. We get bogged down with work, the house, bills, etc. And it can feel like a treadmill. It is inevitable that this happens sometimes. But make sure you don’t let it swallow you up. Keep things fresh and interesting. Suggest a date night in the middle of the week. Surprise your partner with a fancy meal and candles. Arrange to go on a trip together or start a new hobby together. Be unexpected and spontaneous. Try not to let things get stale and mundane. Marriage is a marathon and not a sprint. It is something to work at. When it becomes difficult or mundane, try and remember the reasons you fell for your partner in the first place. Find ways to recapture those feelings. Listen to each other and be present. Do These 4 Things Daily to Stay Productive Every Day - Classy Career Girl

Do These 4 Things Daily to Stay Productive Every Day Today I have a bonus for you! It’s a special FB Live recording I did in January that was so popular and had such great feedback that I wanted to bring it to the podcast as well. It’s about the 4 things you need to do daily to stay productive. Let’s face it, we are in February now, you may be slowing down on your goals, getting a little tired, maybe it’s cloudy and snowy and you just have lost all motivation. Don’t worry, it’s just a matter of putting a few little habits back into your day and you’ll be able to turn around your motivation quickly and get back into the game. So let’s do this! Subscribe  on  your favorite platform below: iTunes Google Play Music Stitcher Radio TuneIn iHeartRadio Sound Cloud How do you feel about your day? Do you have a to-do list: What do you do every day to stay productive? Note: If you want a copy of our daily to-do list template, click here. KEY CHANGE I MADE ONE WEEK AGO: I am in control of my schedule. How can I work 4 hours per day? How can I work 2 hours per day? The book Deep Work by Cal Newport really influenced a lot of the things. I wasn’t getting focus time. I’ve been waking up early. I’ve been filling out our Classy Career Girl Planner with these 4 things and doing them every single day. They work!! I am creating my schedule the day before and my priorities the day before. I am having wrap up time at the end of the day. I have gotten so much done this week and it’s been an amazing week. I finally feel in control of my life and on top of what needs to get done. I feel ahead of the game. I have less stress. I know I can meet my goals. I’m working out daily. I’m reading. I’m doing my good habits. I am productive. Do These 4 Things Daily to Stay Productive Every Day Please feel free to ask questions on Instagram! I will be happy to answer them. Step 1: Set Your Priorities   If you woke up feeling like you have a million things to do, you arent alone. They key is to write down your priorities. What are the most important things that need to get done? What are those small baby steps you can do that will help you reach your long-term goals? Those are your priorities! When you know your priorities before the day starts, it will help you focus and decrease the overwhelm of all  the things you feel like you need to do. I complete my to-do list the night before so I know the first thing to do when I wake up in the morning. I ask:  What’s the one thing I can do that will make everything else easier or even unnecessary? Your action:  Write down your priorities for the day the night before. This will keep you on task and motivated! Step 2: Create Your Affirmations   What are affirmations? They are something you do daily that describe a goal in its already completed state. We believe so highly in the power of affirmations that we added them to our new Create Your Future 90-day Planners (they are back in stock NOW!!). On your daily planning sheet, we created a section to write your daily affirmations. It is something I do every day, and I want you all to get into the habit of doing affirmations. So, how do you create affirmations? I did an entire blog post and podcast on how to create effective affirmations. Listen here. Note: We believe there is no right or wrong way to create and write affirmations. Do what works for you to help you stay positive and dont worry if they are written perfectly. And heres a blog post with a list of affirmations for entrepreneurs and job searchers. A few of my favorites lately I have been writing down are: I will create the most extraordinary life I can imagine. There are no limits to what I can achieve. I am 100% committed to becoming the person I need to be. My goals are possible. Your action: Share one of your favorite affirmations in the comments below. Lets inspire each other and give each other some good ideas of what to write. And if you arent sure what to write yet, just say that you are still getting ideas! Step 3: Share Your Gratitude When you aren’t grateful, you won’t receive more in return. Gratitude is all about giving thanks. Ungratefulness is taking the things in your life for granted. You are taking instead of giving if you are ungrateful. When you’re grateful for the things you have, no matter how small they may be, you will see those things instantly increase. You will be happier when you count your blessings. The more gratitude you feel, the happier you will be. Studies show people who practice gratitude have closer relationships, are more connected to family and friends and are viewed more favorably by others. This is exactly why I make it a habit in my morning routine to write down three things I am grateful for each day. It just makes me happier and gives me a better outlook for the day. Your action: Share what you are grateful for in the comments below. Bonus points for adding a photo! ?? Step 4: Brain Dump All Your Priorities, Then Set Your Top Priorities     I know you have a ton of to-dos whirling around on in your head right now. Am I right? Now its time to list them all out. Do a brain dump of all the things you should do today. Dont worry! You wont be able to do them all, but it will help decrease your stress to get them out of your head and onto paper. Remember, none of these items are your top priorities. They are just items you should do. You might have laundry on here. Or checking email. Posting on Instagram, etc. These are tasks you should, do but arent necessarily going to help you reach your goals today. Each day youll complete your top 3 priorities first and then head to your other important items section. Or you can set an hour in your calendar each day to complete these other items. Your Action: Share a selfie of you and your finalized daily to-do list! We cant wait to see! Note: If you want a copy of our daily to-do list template, click here.
